Open Question: My dog sometimes acts like he's hyperventilating. Anyone seen this before?
I have a 3.5 year old neutered male Corgi, who has had good health since we got him from the registered breeder, so he has good bloodlines too. He weighs 25lbs which the vet says is perfect, with being fed 1/3rd cup of Iams MiniChunks ProActive Health twice daily, as well as maybe 6 baby carrots as treats throughout the day. We keep him exercised with games indoors, and walk him around our acreage on a leash, because he would explore without stopping if we let him loose, resulting in me having to run two field-lengths in my boxers and flip-flops just to catch him. Just thought I'd give you a good background on him. Rarely, maybe two or three times a year, I will see him have a brief episode of breathing problems lasting only a minute or two, but very dramatic. The most recent one, I got up close and did everything I could to observe what was going on with him. He breathes in as strong as possible, with his ribs becoming visible as he takes a huge breath in, and all the effort to inhale being done in a very quick intake of air, and then relax, letting the air come back out, and then a delay, and then repeat. He always breathes in through his nose when he is doing this. I have had some bigger dogs in the past that never did anything like this. He did not sneeze at all before or after the breathing problems, so I don't think he was just trying to snort out congestion, but it looks like that's what he would be trying to do. He hasn't ever had any nose infections, boogers, runny nose, none of that, just healthy all the time, maybe gets a dog flu once or twice a year for a few days. I tried videotaping it this last time but by the time I got my video camera going (my phone doesn't have video) he had pretty much stopped doing it. Even as it was going, he seemed sort of unaware of the problem, like I could call his name and he would look at me and focus attention, while still having the sudden intakes of breath, so I don't think it's a seizure. I've seen/held a dog having a seizure before as it was in its last hours, and this definitely was not that, he had full awareness and muscle control of everything except his breathing. Also, getting his attention and messing with him did not interrupt the breathing problems, so I doubt it was something he was purposefully doing, such as trying to clear his nose. Some sort of breathing attack. I mentioned this to his vet before, but without the detailed observations of this most recent episode, and he didn't have much to say for what it might be, and even took some lung x-rays and says everything looks totally fine. I just want to figure out what is happening and if it is something serious. Maybe dogs do this to clear their noses, and other ppl are familiar with this and it's nothing to worry about, but I've never seen it before, and it looks like a serious breathing attack when it's happening, and deeply concerns me. But since he only does it like twice a year, unless I catch it on video, I have nothing much more to tell my vet. moreResolved Question: My 3 month old pomeranian sneezing NOT hacking or gagging just sneezing. what is wrong with her ?
My 3 month old pomeranian puppy just started to sneeze Recently We have had her for a little over 3 weeks now. She has been fine on everything and we just took her to her last vet visit for her 2nd set of shots and the veterinarian said she was as healthy as could be! Now i just got better from sore throat and now my dog has a runny like nose and she sneezes allot. She still plays and runs thrue the house like crazy and she acts normal rather then that. Her collar is not too tight as a matter of fact i took it off just to be on the safe side but she stil sneezes. I am going to take her back to the vet to have her spayed and what not but thats in a week do you think she is okay? Should i try to keep her inside? We take walks during the week , should i wait to take her tell she gets better or what? See shes not Coughing or gagging so it cant be Collapsed trachea or reverse sneezing O_o PS: Her nose is not just more wet then usually but its leaking! like more wet dripping moreResolved Question: My dog is sick......?
I took her to the vet Saturday and they gave us pills. But they said she might have something stuck her nose which is causing her to sneeze, but she has a runny nose, does this mean she doesent have something up her nose or could she still? moreVoting Question: I wheeze, but I don't have asthma.?
I had to go get checked for Asthma so I can be cleared to ship out July 6 to San Diego for the Marine Corps. My doctor said that after taking the test (I forgot what it was called) that I showed no evidence of asthma so I am clear for Marine Corps Boot Camp. So before I shipped out, I came here to Arizona to spend time with my family before I shipped out. Not everyday, but maybe once a week, I start to wheeze and have a little hard time breathing. And I can't understand why? My mom has 5 dogs, Two of which stay outside all the time. God knows how long the place has been vaccumed or dusted. We are out in Hereford which is nothing but dust, sand, and dirt roads. Could this be the cause of my Allergies? Some Helpful information: I originally live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I wheeze once or twice a year there.... and thats during the Winter when its extremely cold outside. The Mesquite Tree's here make my skin itchy... and sometimes gives me hives. My dog pete, whos short hair makes my skin itchy... gives me hives as well. And he sleeps on my bed with me every night. I live in Hereford, Arizona... and its always dusty, dry. I wake up just about everyday with a stuffed up noze and go to bed with one... but it clears up during the day because I take Zyrtec. And my everyday allergies can include... Sneezing, Runny Nose, Itchy/Watery Eyes, and Itchy throat and nose. But as I said, a couple of weeks ago... My doctor said I have no evidence of asthma.I haven't had an inhaler since I was little. Never felt the need to use one, even with my intensive Marine Corps DEP training. I get winded but thats it and I recover quite fast. moreVoting Question: Itchy Face... any help?
over the last few months I have developed an itchy, tight, sore face, mainly the cheeks. There is also a kind of rash on my cheek bone area, they are look like spots when they have gone but left that red mark, but these are really itchy! and appear quite dry. What every i put on my face dose not help it still itches and feels sore even if i just wash in plain water and use aqueous cream for moisturizing, Even putting my face on my pillow makes it feel itchy & sore. Also its not just where the red spots are that itch, it all over my face. I went to Dr he gave me a allergy test for dust/dog/rabbit/moulds & all came back fine. Oh and i also get hives 1 or 2 hives on my face every couple of weeks aswell Might it just be a kind of hay fever, as i do now and then, mainly in the mornings get a runny nose, sneezes and sore eyes. Or could it be 2 different thing. Sorry to go on but i just wanted you to have a as much info a pos moreResolved Question: I usually don't have allergies... wtf?!?
For the past few days, I have been getting this tingling sensation in my right side of my nose. It feels like I need to sneeze, but I rarely do. Sometimes it'll go away almost instantly, other times I have to try and try to sneeze, whilst other times I have to just wait it out. I mean, today at school it just randomly happened in the middle of class. I mean, I hadn't even been outside for like 5 hours prior. When I walked my dog this evening, it got to the point where my nose was runny. I don't think any more [visible] pollen is falling where I live at anymore. So, what am I allergic to, if this is the case? I live on the mid/south eastern part of the US. moreResolved Question: Why do I feel so gross when I wake up?
I just moved into my friends place about a month ago and ever since then when I wake up in the morning Ive got a runny nose and/or sneezing alot,Itchy eyes and sometimes even a cough.Once I'm out of the house for a little bit though I feel just fine. I thought it was my allergies to his dog but I take 24hr allergy medication before I go to bed at night and I still wake up the same. My friend stayed over the first week I was here and she said she was a little sick for a few days after and then she stayed over again a few nights ago and she said she is sick again. She has no allergies. Someone suggested that it might be mold but I asked my roomie and they said they cleaned the whole room out and steam cleaned the carpets...would that kill mold if it was underneath the carpet? My room is right next to the bathroom so I dont really know if it could get into my room that way?I dont think its allergies because I TAKE an allergy pill that lasts 24Hrs before I go to bed that is supposed to cover the sneezing and all that moreResolved Question: Do I have allergies or what?
I'm beginning to believe I have allergies. I haven't had it my whole life, but the symptoms have been more prominent the past year. I keep a cold for about 2 months first of all. I'll have an actual cold for a few weeks, but once most of the bad symptoms (fever, body aches, bad coughing) have gone away, I still sneeze a lot and have a mild cough. I got over one of these long "colds" about 3 weeks ago and it lasted about a month. I had a "cold" a few weeks before that one that lasted 2 months. This past Wednesday I went to the mall with my boyfriend and a couple hours later I got a bit of a sore throat and a runny nose, and all I was doing was walking around in the mall! The sore throat is gone now but I still have a runny nose and am sneezing a lot (so far 6 times today). Do I have allergies and can I settle for OTC medicine instead of going to see doctor? Here is some more info: - Just sneezing and runny nose - no red itchy eyes, cough or sore throat - I have a dog and cat but I do not sneeze when I'm around them - dog sleeps with me - Our house is always clean - in fact we just pulled out furniture and Spring cleaned - My boyfriend was wearing cologne the day my symptoms showed up, (he dosen't wear it that often though but maybe cologne triggers allergies??) - My youngest brother who is 6 constantly has puffy eyes and runny nose and we do think he has allergies - I was outside playing in the creek today with my little brother's class, I did have a runny nose but don't remember sneezing What's wrong with me? D=Oh and I live in North Carolina. moreResolved Question: My dog has a cough/sneeze with runny nose..Any advise?
My dog is about a 7-8 pound female Pomeranian. About 2 weeks ago she started cough/sneezing a little, mainly when outside. I figured allergies...Then, it got worst and happening more often. She hasn't been with any other dogs at all (no vet, pound, shelter) The other day she felt a little warmer than usual. Now today, she is laying around with a runny nose (clear water dipping out nose) I figure a cold now. She is eating and drinking fine, nothing different than any other time. She is going to the bathroom like normal (normal stool) moreResolved Question: 2 week old puppy sneezes and has runny nose?
last night, i observed that one of the pups of my dog, has runny nose and sometimes sneeze. but i think he is nursing always and there seems to be no problem aside from that sneeze and runny nose. i am worried though that it might have a respiratory infection. it is too young to be treated i think coz it's just 2 weeks oldi texted the vet and she said i give the pups ascorbic acid drops moreResolved Question: Does My dog have Distemper?
I have asked a similar question before, but didn't get a clear answer..... We got my dog from the pound, and were told she has a Upper Respitory Infection. We took her to our vet after her nose started running green and she had a hard time breathing... She was given Doxycycline, and a bunch of vitamins, and seemed fine the next day with just a little CLEAR liquid comming from the nose. The doctor however told us she might have Distemper........ I have two other dogs, who are my babies. My chihuahua isnt showing any signs of being sick, but my Cairn Terrier got a green runny nose. I placed them both on the Doxyclcline just to be safe, and once again my Cairn just has the CLEAR very thin drippy nose. I have been soooo paranoid that my dogs have distemper. I have been checking their pads everyday. The new dog has rough feet, but not hard paws, they just feel like they need a nice pedicure. She is still doing a bit of the inward sneezing thing, but her nose is pretty much not running. Everyone has a great appetite, everyone has nomal fecal matter. Although both sick dogs have thrown up a bit of clear liquid- Im thinking they are both just drinking too fast... Like they choke on it. I am just very worried that they might have distemper... We have a follow up vet appointemnt this week- but I am really concerned. We have had the new dog for 2 weeks this Friday- Wouldnt the symptoms be more severe?Pleaseee help me calm down. moreResolved Question: My dog keeps making a hacking/gagging sound?! Help!?
I have a female 5lb miniature pinscher. She's only 2 years old. For the past 2 weeks or so, she's been acting really strange... She doesn't seem interested in her food, and she keeps sneezing every time she goes outside... she had a runny nose for a while so I thought she may just have a cold.. since the sneezing happened when she was outside, I figured she probably had some sort of allergies. Well her nose cleared up and doesn't run anymore but now she makes this WEIRD noise all the time.. it sounds like a hacking noise like she's trying to clear something out of her throat, but right after she does this hacking sound, she makes like a gagging noise as if she's trying to expel something. She will do it over and over again. She doesn't show any signs of being sick in any other way. She's not lethargic, she drinks water, she does eat but reluctantly, she plays, her nose is cold and wet.. Anybody know what the deal is? She was exposed to a puppy with a cold a few weeks back and I originally thought she just caught that cold but she still hasn't stopped the hacking/gagging and it's been weeks now!I have another dog, large breed, that is perfectly fine and hasn't shown any symptoms of sickness. moreResolved Question: What dog allergy remedies would you recommend?
My 6-month-old corgi has started sneezing and has a little bit of a runny nose. I suspect he has some allergies to dust or pollen. He mostly sneezes when he (1) wakes up in the morning and gets out of his crate, (2) is on my bed, (3) occasionally when he's sniffing around the carpet. Any recommendations to help him? I'm going to wash all the bedding and vaccum, but should I give him benadryl? It's nothing serious or non-stop. Maybe just a few sneezes here and there. Suggestions? moreResolved Question: Is my puppy's runny nose something to be alarmed about?
i have a new puppy and she seems to have caught the same head cold that i have. she is sneezing and blowing bubbles out of her nose occasionally, she seems mostly fine during the day and only sneezes a few times, but at night its more frequent and she gets very lazy. It seems like she just has a cold, but im really worried since i dont know much about common dog illness. we're taking her to the vet tomorrow so wish her luck.forgot to add she was born on jan. 9th, the weather has been acting funny and the discharge from her nose is clear. moreResolved Question: do dogs get colds/allergies in the spring too?
my shih tzu has been sneezing a little today, and her nose looks a little bit runny (just a clear, wet leak occasonally)...could she have springtime allergies and things just like the rest of us? moreVoting Question: PLEASE HELP.....Do dogs get colds?
My St.Bernard is been like sneezing and having a runny nose. So is it possible for dogs to get colds like we humans do? Please let me know and if anyone knows of a dog medicine to help him. Thank You. moreResolved Question: babies and allergies?
I have a 6 month old that for about the last 3 months has had a lot of congestion and coughing. She has a constant runny nose and sneezes a lot. She is constantly rubbing her nose and eyes like they itch. What is the likelyhood that she has allergies? She has been on children's zyrtec for the last 1 1/2 months and it doesn't seem to be helping any. She also has pretty bad eczema. She has had to do breathing treatments 2 times now b/c her cough gets so bad and we are about ot have to start them for a 3rd time. We have 2 dogs and also, our house is a new build and has quite a bit of dust. Dr. Keeps saying either it is a cold or that the allergy medicine will help. A cold would have gone away by now and the allergy medicine isn't helping. I don't know what to do. Should I demand they send her to an allergist? I don't want her to go through a bunch of tests if it isn't necessary, but she should be getting better by now shouldn't she? moreResolved Question: my dog's runny nose/mucus...is it safe from being "accidentally" eaten?

About one week ago i had a cold from my dad. The normal cold with a sore throat and a runny/stuffy nose. Then after about 3 days it went away. But then just about monday I got another runny nose. Its not very stuffy though. I noticed it was really bad today when i was in the back of my house. Which is where the dogs go potty x[ I got up and went into the living room and my nose stopped but it was still ticklish, like something was tickling my nose. I keep getting the tickling feeling and earlier i sneezed 10 times in a row. Do you think it could possibly be allergies? My eyes have been really irrated as well. And my house has a lot of dog and cat hair, i notice it a lot. moreResolved Question: Dog with nose injury?
A few weeks ago my 10lb dog was playing around with my 25lb dog and somehow injured her nose. She has been sneezing and has had somewhat of a runny nose ever since. Hello, Yesterday we went to the pound and got a new puppy, as we were leaving the pound they said the puppy may have kennel cough as his nose was very runny, and they gave us some medicine. The puppy sneezes sometimes. We have another dog in the house and are trying to keep them in seperate rooms, and sanitizing our hands everytime the puppy is touched. I hear it is highly contagious and am wondering if our precautions are useless. Basically I am wondering if our dog will get it, and if so should I be worried about it?Edit: Forgot to mention that my dog is vaccinated, last time was probably around 3-4 months ago. moreResolved Question: I wake up every morning sneezing and have a runny nose..?

shes 8years old and a teacup poodle. her nose just keeps running. moreResolved Question: Could it be kennel cough?
I got a new puppy in January. My mother has 2 other dogs, that I keep at my house a lot of the time. About a week after I got the puppy, one of my mom's dogs was wheezing in her sleep. We took her to the vet, and she had a slight fever. He put her on antibiotics. The next day, the puppy and her other dog were showing the same symptoms. I asked the vet tech if they could keep catching it from each other. She told me no, they couldn't. It's been about a month now and they seem to have it again. 2 of them are Boston Terriers, and one is a Boston/Pug, and I'm used to a lot of snorting and grunting, but their noses are runny too. The oldest Boston also has been having some reverse sneezing and coughing as of today. We'll probably take them to the vet again soon, but in the meantime, was the vet tech wrong? Could they be catching this from each other over and over again? Could it just be my paranoia, being that they are "snorty, wheezy" dogs? Our dogs are always totally up to date on all vaccinations. It bothers me that anyone would assume otherwise. I take good care of my dogs. In fact, a few weeks ago, the puppy survived parvo, following one parvo vaccination. I'm still picking up poop when he goes, and bleaching the floor and ground where it falls. I'm giving the Boston some Prednisone that her vet gave her years ago, in case her allergies bothered her. She has always had a lot of allergies. Maybe that's all this is.Ready for Spring, they only vaccinate for Bordetella (which they have ALL had); only one of the causes of kennel cough. You may want to look into that. Snarky, aren't we?I wouldn't think distemper would go away and then come back like that. And they don't feel hot to me and they act as though they feel perfectly fine. I am watching the mucus; it's clear, so I'm not worried about distemper. moreVoting Question: If I have had a cough/runny nose for years could I have cancer?
For a few years now I have sort of had a cough. I've always assumed it's because of my dog. He isn't allowed in my room, but whenever I go out to the living room to watch TV, I start sneezing/my nose runs A LOT. My nose always runs. I blow my nose a lot, even more when it's cold. And I cough, because I feel the need to clear my throat a lot. Then I was watching TV, and this girl had a cough. She ended up dying of lung cancer! Another thing- I take really long showers every few days, and afterward sneeze a lot. What's wrong with me!? moreResolved Question: Allergies or something worse?
My son is almost 5, and he's been a bit sickly since he was about 2. It started w/ typical allergy symptoms; runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes. It has progressivly got worse. I've taken him to several doctors and specialists. He was diagnosed w/ asthma when he was 3. Also allergies. He takes multiple medications for these conditions. He has been very congested (nasal) for some time. I give him meds and sprays trying to help him breathe better. It sounds horrible. He blows his nose, but very little comes out. He has started to snore more and more. Very loud.. It actually keeps me up, its so bad. I often watch him when he starts snoring, afraid he will stop breathing. So far, he hasn't stopped. Any advise or opinions??? Also, he has had so many behavioral issues since around the same time the allergy symptoms started. Kicked out of 3 different daycares, aggerssive and sometimes violent with adults, doctors, teachers, family, even me and his sister and family dog. He sometimes doesn't seem to understand he's doing wrong, but most times he is delibrately doing this. He's also very smart, very advanced for his age..I've also taken him to mental health physicians and still haven't came to any conclusions.. I just want my son to be healthy physically and mentally. moreVoting Question: Sneezing dogs & cats?
We brought home a cat almost 2 weeks ago. He started sneezing (we probably hear him about 10 times a day sneezing) about 5 days ago. Last night, both of our dogs started sneezing & one has a very runny nose. Obviously it's the weekend, and since they're all eating and drinking, I'm not rushing them to the emergency vet (esp. since I'll have to pay THREE office visits!). I was wondering if there is anything I should do to try and "kick" the infection at home- I've read a lot & have been told by the shelter the cat came from that it's a respitory infection. Should I be keeping them (all three) seperate?Also- is it possible to be passed to humans? As now I also have a cold- could be a complete coincidence, just curious! moreResolved Question: Does your baby sneeze all the time?

I have a 3 month old boxer puppy that I purchased at a shelter. I have had him for a week on Wednesday and received a phone call from the shelter on Monday (5 days after we got him) stating that he may have been exposed to Parvo. There was no direct contact, he was in a separate cage. They did ride in the same van though. He has an occasional sneeze, cough, slightly watery eyes, and runny nose. His appetite seems fine. He is playful, but naps a lot (typical of pups). His stools are solid and there has been no vomiting. Should I be worried. They suggested that we not take him in since he is up to date with all shots, and just watch for symptoms. They didn't want him to be exposed to sick dogs. Should we be concerned? moreResolved Question: Can kennel cough cause my dog to cough up blood?
I've had my dog for almost 2 weeks now. We got him at our local animal shelter and a few days after he came home he started sneezing, had a runny nose, and began wheezing. I took him to the vet and, as I expected, he was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. He was prescribed an antibiotic and he is doing so much better. He's pretty much active and playful now, but when he gets too excited he still has the cough and is still coughing up some of the white foamy mucus. Starting yesterday, however, he would cough up some blood. He did it only once yesterday, but has coughed up larger amounts of thick, mucous-textured blood. I was just wondering if this was common from all the coughing or if anyone whose dog has had kennel cough experienced this symptom. I'm assuming that the cough is causing it, but I just wanted to make sure. Normally, I would have called the vet, but he's left for the day and won't be back until Monday. Thanks for all your help in advance! moreVoting Question: my two dogs are sneezing and have runny noses-why?

Why is my dog acting so funny?
Our family has a lot of dogs and they are always around each other. There was a bug being spread and our dogs got it. They were coughing and sneezing and running a slight fever. One dog got over it but the other is now acting very strange. He has quit coughing and isn't running fever anymore, but still very runny nose and is just standing around and staring off into the distance. Not acting like himself at all. He ate his dinner okay, but he almost seems depressed. Not sure what to do or if it's time for a vet visit. We don't really have the money. moreVoting Question: is this a cold or allergies?

What should I do?
We think he’s a Chion (Chihuahua and Papillon mix), but aren’t 100% on it. He’s somewhere around 10 or 11 years old. He’s had this runny nose lately. I thought at first it could just be some kind of allergy, but I’ve had him for many years and this is the first time it’s ever happened, so now I don’t know what to think. He’s still eating and drinking normally. And long before I got him he’s always barked and got hyper when someone knocked on the door. He still does this, only he’ll break into sneezing. He’s also been doing some 'reverse sneezing' I think it is, after he gets a drink or just random. He has episodes of them, and it has never happened until now. His mucus was a pale green a few days ago, but as of recently it’s been white and kind of transparent. I can’t afford to take him to the vet until after Christmas. The only thing that I’ve found that seems to help him is when he gets into what I think is reverse sneezing fits, is to rub his sides and make shhh-ing noises. That seems to calm him down. I rubbed his throat to check signs of a 'collapsing trachea'. I've done it like 10 times and the only thing that happened was that he sneezed once and kept trying to lick my hand. :/ He has a heart murmur, though it’s never been a problem. He’s only ever been sick once before, around early March, but he never had anything like what he has now. When he gets into these fits, it sounds exactly like this, only he'll sometimes make a big snort at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJT_ZHZb1LI&feature=related moreResolved Question: 3 month puppy: fever, puppy vet or experts only please?

In the mean time, i would like to relieve my puppy's fever, it's been getting hotter since last night. the puppy shows following symptoms. sneezing, runny nose (sticky, sometimes thick somewhat white, not too white), some eye discharge (not too much), panting (mild), excessive drinking water, some twitching while sleep, fever (2 days before was mild fever at vet, now I can feel her body and tongue very hot, and yes i do not have thermometer yet). she also walks around in the room to find cool surface. it drinks a lot and go restroom alot. there is no sign of loss of appetite (she eats fine) or dehydration. her stool is bit loose and wet but not too watery like sick diarrhea. she was so active past 6 days (had cold like symptoms w/ mild fever) the vet and I were convinced she was having just cold. My vet prescribed antibiotics and some other small yellow pill that write on surface ("D" "(something look like flask in bio lab)" "A") It's been on medication for last 2 days and did not show improvement for the cold like symptoms. still have 3 days medication left with me and I do not want to take chances because the fever is severe (i can feel her stomach, ear, feet, tongue very very very hot). Please, i need serious expert advice on this. What can i do to mild her fever (not invasive way, since we will go to vet today), before i go vet? what is her disease? flue or cold?? I read many article that dog (especially puppy) died from flue like symptoms like my pup. so I am dead worried!!! help me! ------------- my dog info: Name; Squid Breed: Siberian Husky Sex: Female Age: 3 month 7/9/08 height: 15" Food: Innova Evo dry no grain diet (if anyone give me any advice on food, it is necessary and will not be appreciated since my pup had this mild cold symptom before we purchase pup 6 days ago, and we are confident about high protein diet) days having this symptom: 6 days so far with me, I do not know how long before in pet shop. it all started with runny nose and sneeze.please be more specific about the cold bath :x i heard s. husky should be kept dry. is cold bath cold water bath? I am first timer for these symptoms. "i am in malaysia because I live here? is it relative to the question? i need answers. Thanks"my puppy taking EVO has nothing to do with this because she had even looser stools while she was on EUKANUBA for 3 days. sometimes too watery that made me scared. She actually has poo shape now once we changed to EVO and better appetite.also no vomiting until now.and i go vet that is for all my dogs, not the petshop recommended.I'm doing ice pack thing right now, What about Air conditioning? does it help cool down or should i turn it on? I have fan on. now the AC is off, cuz i turned it off after she had fever. (I do that to myself thats y)..ohh, during fever you meant. Ok, what should i feed her, I am going pet supply store today. Please recommend me wet food that could help her.thank you for all advice, i cold pressed her with ice bag wrapped with thin towel, and rubed her feet, belly, eyes and ears with ice water towel. still doing at the moment. she feels less tired of heat, now start being playful already, eating biscuit that it didn't finish last night. she drinks fine, and eats fine. i'll have to feed her dry food once more since i do not have wet food with me. and it's breakfast time for her. I think i will keep try to alleviate her fever till i get to vet. Thanks. moreVoting Question: Stomach bug? anyone else? help?
I am a 23 yr old female, I have had a stomach virus before in october a few weeks ago where I was up all night and miserable, vomiting and diahreaa (sp?) and last night... I went to bed with a belly ache... thinking it would go away before bed. I ended up having a dream that I was sick because I woke up at about 3am or so and had to run to the bathroom sick and this went on for 2 hours or so, it was miserable. I have heard people say that theres a bug going around this fall.... should i call a doctor? Normally I dont get this ill in the fall, I hadnt thrown up in years and twice in the past 2 months I have been sick as a dog all night long and then the next day i am fine just tired. I also have a head cold right now (a lot of sneezing, runny nose, etc.) I also do work with a group of kids 2 nights a week and all of the staff there have been calling off left and right for illnesses... it just seems like a long period of time for bugs to be creeping around... they dont sanitize very well there. (yuck) but I try to use hand sanitizer like crazy.. but I have been ill so much this past 2 months since october with flu symptoms of every kind. is there anything else it could be? anyone else have this? moreResolved Question: My dog is sneezing blood please help?
We thought she just had a cold cause she's had a runny nose and running eyes, she hasnt been eating much and has had a lack of energy for about a week, but last night she started sneezing blood with big clotts in it. Does anyone know what could be wrong or how to help her feel better tonight. The vets arent open at night. moreResolved Question: Can people and dog share colds?
I do believe dogs get colds because sometimes in the winter my dog loses appetite, gets lethargic, has a runny nose and sneezes. We asked the vet and he said if it persists or gets worse to bring him in. It usually lasts a few days and he's fine. It always seems as if my family all gets sick right after him. Is it possible that dogs and people can spread colds through species? Or do you think its cold out and we all get sick coincidentally? moreResolved Question: Is there anything I can do for my cat when he has a cold?
Both my dog and cat seem to have a cold. They both are sneezing constantly, got runny noses and water eyes at times. I myself have a terrible cold, as well as 4 of the 5 kids in my daycare, and not my pet have one too. Is there anything I can do to help them out, or feel better? moreResolved Question: I think my kitty has a cold, what should I do?
i've had my kitten for a week now and she's been sneezing the whole time. she was a stray and when we picked her up outside she was underneath my car and it was freezing rain outside. she doesn't have diarrhea and she hasn't lost her appetite but she sleeps all day, she crouches uneasily when she walks but she'll never walk far, she refuses to play and her nose is running. she hasn't thrown up or anything but the sneezing and the runny nose is worrying me. could it be the start of a cold? we do have other cats and a dog in the house (but she's fine with them.) moreResolved Question: I have allergies all of a sudden?Im 14 years old btw?

My puppy just finished a series of antibiotics on Friday for pneumonia. The vet said his lungs and X-Rays look clear and he is off restrictions. Starting Sat he started to cough (high pitched) and sneeze with a clear runny nose. Does he need to go back to the vet or am I being paranoid? moreResolved Question: My dogs nose is dry and runny?
He has not been drinkin or eatin that much and he also has been coughing and gagin and sneezing...he is a little pomerainian and he is 4 months old...plzz help moreResolved Question: dogs passing colds to one another?
I have a puppy who is sneezing, has a runny nose (with green snot) and is a little lethargic. She is eating and drinking normally. I think this is being passed to my other dogs. My questions are, 1. is it possible to pass the cold from one dog to another? 2. is this an emergency vet situation or should she be fine until morning? the pup is almost 10 weeks old, has her shots and worming updated. thank you!ok Anbu, insulting me doesn't exactly help. Not all of us go to school to become vets, so expecting me to know all about diseases in animals is absurd. I have looked up kennel cough and I have looked up distemper, and my dog doesn't fit the symptoms of either issue. there is no hacking, just nasal discharge. I wasn't asking for a diagnosis, I will go to a vet for that, I was asking if I should go to an emergency vet or my dog can wait until morning. moreResolved Question: Is this normal after being spayed?
